What VoiceMaster does that we don't

  • Five creator setup types: default, sequential, predefined, clone and dynamic.
  • A temporary text channel alongside the voice channel.
  • An LFM option that posts the channel in an LFG channel.
  • Permit or reject specific users and roles.
  • A channel status.
  • A web dashboard.

What LFG Hub does that VoiceMaster doesn't

  • Every channel has a live post in your LFG channel: it shows the game, who is in and whether it is full, updates as the group changes, and players join from it in one click.
  • Smart Ping reaches recent players of that game only, never twice in 8 hours.
  • A group can be set for later, up to a week ahead, and members join in advance.
  • Empty seats can be filled from the LFG Network. It is optional and on by default in quick setup. The group stays on your server: relevant players on other servers get a DM and join you, and nothing from other servers is posted in your channels.
  • The game is read from what the member is playing, so there is no question to answer.

Can I run both?

Yes. Give each bot its own creator channel. Members who want a plain room join one, and members who want a group for a game join the other.

Switching from VoiceMaster

  1. Add LFG Hub and run /setup-lfg-channel in the text channel you want groups posted in. It creates a Voice Creator channel for you.
  2. Move the Voice Creator channel into the category where temporary channels should appear, and rename it if you like.
  3. Run both for a week. When members have moved over, remove the old creator channel.
