Why scheduled groups fill better
A right-now group needs the right player online in the same ten minutes. A group set for Friday can reach everyone who is around before then.
Reminders by DM before every session
Everyone who joined hears about it in their DMs, not in a channel they may have muted.
Each member's own times
Members can set their own reminder times, or mute them.
Won't make it frees the seat
One press on the reminder gives the seat back before the session starts.
Repeating groups: set raid night once
With Premium, a group comes back on its own: every Thursday, or every few days.
Pick the days
Monday and Friday, or every N days. The next session is posted when one ends, at the same time in your time zone.
Players keep their slot
A player who joins can reserve their slot for every next session. Can't make one? Won't make it on the reminder frees the seat.
Repeat the group you just played
Had a good night? Schedule for Later on the group turns it into a repeating one, with the same game and filters.
Close one session or all
Cancel tonight and the next one is still posted. It stops on its own after 3 sessions in a row nobody joined.

Your schedule where members already look, and one press from the event into the group.
In your server's Events
A group set 3 hours or more ahead also shows above the channel list. Discord starts it on time, and it goes away when the group closes.
Interested joins the group
Press Interested on the event and you're in the group, with the same checks as the Join button. Take it back before the start to leave.
Add to calendar
Every scheduled group has an Add to calendar button: Google Calendar, Outlook, or an .ics file for Apple Calendar and the rest. No sign-in.
Off until you want it
It's free, and the server decides who can use it. A group's owner turns it on for that group. The bot needs the Create Events permission.
Every session gets a real voice channel
Event bots post an event and stop there. Here the group comes with its own voice channel, ready at start time.
Ready at start time
Join the group and you're in the call. It deletes itself when everyone leaves.
Owner controls inside
Rename it, set a player limit, kick or ban, and pause the search, from the channel's panel.
Music for the session
Anyone in the channel can play music from its panel. No music bot to add.
What event bots can't do
Event bots can only invite the server they're in. LFG Hub can open the last slots to relevant players on 143 connected servers. They join your server to play.
The LFG Network is optional, and on by default in quick setup. The organiser can keep any group to the server, and nothing from other servers is posted in your channels.

No two-way calendar sync. If you need it, keep your event bot for that and use LFG Hub for game sessions.
FAQ
Scheduling, answered
- How do I organise a game night on Discord?
- Pick the game and a time with /lfg, members get notified and join in advance, and the voice channel is ready at start time. If seats are still empty, open them to the LFG Network.
- How do I find players for a scheduled game when my server is short?
- Open the group's remaining slots to the LFG Network. Relevant players on other connected servers get a DM and join your server to play. Event bots can only invite the server they're in.
- Do I still need Apollo, Sesh, Raid-Helper or Raid Organizer?
- For game sessions and raids, no. Set a time up to a week ahead and how many of each role you need, such as 1 tank, 1 healer and 3 DPS. Members get notified and sign up for a role in advance; when a role is full they join its waitlist, and the next one is moved in when a seat opens. The voice channel comes with the group, and open slots can be filled from the LFG Network, which event bots can't do. For two-way calendar sync, keep your event bot.

- Yes, one for free and more with Premium. Pick the days, or every 1 to 90 days, and the next session is posted when one ends, at the same time. Players can reserve their slot for every next session, and a group you are playing right now can be turned into a repeating one from Schedule for Later.
- Can a scheduled group show in Discord's Events?
- Yes, for free, if the server turns it on and the bot has the Create Events permission. A group's owner turns it on for that group: set 3 hours or more ahead, it gets a Discord server event, and pressing Interested on it joins the group.
- Does it sync with Google Calendar?
- Not two-way. Every scheduled group has an Add to calendar button, for Google Calendar, Outlook or an .ics file that Apple Calendar and other apps open, and a group posted as a Discord server event has Discord's own Add to Calendar too. Changes after that don't reach your calendar; for two-way sync, keep your event bot.
- Can I keep a session to my own server?
- Yes. The organiser decides per group whether it opens to the LFG Network.
- Does it work for things other than games?
- Yes. Use Just Chatting or your own activity, such as a movie night.
