What each kind of bot sees

Your moderation bot handles chat. LFG Hub handles what happens in groups.

Logging bots can record voice joins and leaves, but they can't tie them to a group or a report. Each column describes that kind of bot in general, not any one product.

Privacy

What is kept, who sees it, and what a player can delete.

Who sees it

Your moderators: on the report, and through /lookup and /case. The LFG Hub team gets a copy of every report, and a report about another server's group also reaches that server's mods. Groups on servers connected to the LFG Network show on lfghub.gg/network, with who was in them, for 7 days.

How long it's kept

Reports, their outcomes and group records don't expire, so a record can't be waited out. The chat transcript travels with the report message; we don't store it. Game activity is deleted after 30 days.

Deletion

Players delete their data from Settings on lfghub.gg. That revokes the Discord authorization, deletes their email and stops activity tracking. Reports about them and commends they received stay, so a record can't be erased by the person it's about.

FAQ

Moderation, answered

How do players report someone?
They press Report on the group's post, or on the summary LFG Hub sends after a session, pick the player from the group and a reason from a list, and can add details. No user IDs to copy, no ticket to open, and nobody has to DM a mod.
Where do reports go?
To the reports channel you choose in /setup-lfg-channel, or a private #lfg-reports channel LFG Hub creates for you. Your moderator roles are mentioned. The LFG Hub team gets a copy, and a report about another server's group also goes to that server.
What is in a report?
Who reported whom, the reason they picked, and their details. The group's post, with a link back to it. The player's record on your server: groups played and owned, prior reports and how they ended, commends, and groups they were banned from. The reporter's own track record: reports filed and dismissed. The group's chat, attached as a transcript. Who was in the group, and how each person joined: /case with the report number.
What can moderators do from a report?
Warn the player, delete their post and warn them, restrict them, or dismiss the report. A restriction stops them creating LFG posts and voice channels on your server, for 30 minutes up to permanently. /pardon lifts it.
Does a restriction ban them from my server?
No. They stay a member, can chat, and can join other people's groups. They just can't start groups or voice channels on your server until it lifts.
Can group owners ban people themselves?
Yes, from the group's controls. An owner's ban keeps that player out of every group the owner runs, on any server, until the owner lifts it. Moderators can use any group's owner controls, and owners can't kick or ban them.
Who counts as a moderator?
Anyone with the Ban Members permission, plus the moderator roles you pick in /setup-lfg-channel.
How does teammate reputation work?
After a session, players can commend the groupmates they played with for at least 10 minutes, once per player per game. This month's count shows next to their name on group posts, and moderators see the total on reports.
Does it replace my moderation bot?
No. LFG Hub doesn't run automod or filter chat. Your moderation bot handles chat. LFG Hub handles what happens in groups.
Does LFG Hub record voice?
No. It creates voice channels but never joins, listens to or records them.
Is it free?
Yes.
