Overwatch LFG on Discord: find a duo or a full team

Overwatch is won by teams that talk: who is diving, when to use ultimates, who needs a heal. Solo queue gives you four strangers and a text chat. This page lists Overwatch groups forming on Discord servers running LFG Hub. Each one is a voice channel with players already in it, so you can join, sort out roles and queue together.

How Overwatch groups work

  • Teams are five players: one tank, two damage and two support in Role Queue, or any mix in Open Queue.
  • Competitive lets you queue with a group, but everyone has to be close enough in rank. A group with a wide rank spread waits longer for a match.
  • Quick Play and the arcade modes take groups of any rank, the easy way to play with friends.
  • A duo is the most common group: a tank and a support, or two supports who play off each other.

Writing an Overwatch LFG post that fills

Say the mode, your rank and what the group is missing. Most posts that go unanswered leave out the role.

  • The mode: Competitive Role Queue, Open Queue, Quick Play or an arcade mode.
  • Your rank, so nobody joins a group they can't queue with.
  • The roles you need: "LF support duo, Plat" or "need tank for 5-stack".
  • Your hero pool if it matters, plus region, language and whether you use a mic.

Platforms and crossplay

Overwatch has crossplay across PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. Console players who group with PC players are matched in the PC pool for Competitive, which is why many console groups keep to console. Use the Platform filter for that, and the Region filter for a group with good ping.

Why Discord for Overwatch groups

In-game voice lasts one match. A Discord voice channel keeps the group between matches, through a losing streak and into next week. Every group listed here comes with that voice channel, created when the group is and deleted when everyone leaves.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find an Overwatch duo?
Filter this page by region and platform and look for a group with one spot open that needs your role. Or post that you are open to join from any Overwatch server on the network, with your rank and role.
Can I play Competitive with friends of a different rank?
Only if your ranks are close enough; a group with a wide spread gets longer queue times. Quick Play has no rank limit, so it is the easy option for mixed groups.
Is Overwatch crossplay?
Yes, across PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. Console players who group with PC players are matched in the PC Competitive pool.
How many players are on an Overwatch team?
Five: in Role Queue that is one tank, two damage and two support.
Is this Overwatch LFG free?
Yes. Browsing groups, posting your own and joining a server all cost nothing, and there is no account to create here — the groups run inside Discord servers you join directly.
Can I add my own Overwatch server?
Add the LFG Hub bot to your server and set up an LFG channel for Overwatch. Your groups then reach the whole network, and the server appears in the directory.
