Minecraft LFG on Discord: find people to play with

Minecraft is better with friends, and most players looking for a group want the same thing: people to build, survive or explore with who are around when they are. This page lists Minecraft groups forming on Discord servers running LFG Hub. Each one is a voice channel with players already in it, so you can join, say hi and share a world.

What people look for a group for

  • Survival: a world to start from scratch with a few others, or a long-running SMP (survival multiplayer) server to join.
  • Building projects: bases, cities and megabuilds go faster with more hands.
  • Modded: modpacks with tech, magic or adventure mods, where a group can split the work.
  • Hardcore, challenges and speedruns: one life, or one goal, with people who take it seriously.
  • Minigames on public servers, for a quick session with a group.

Java or Bedrock

Minecraft comes in two editions that do not play together out of the box. Java Edition runs on PC and has the modded scene and most community servers. Bedrock Edition has crossplay across Windows, consoles and mobile. Say which one you play in your post, and use the Platform filter: a console player needs a Bedrock group.

Writing a Minecraft LFG post that fills

  • The edition and version: Java or Bedrock, and the version or modpack if it matters.
  • What you want to do: a new survival world, an SMP, a build, modded or hardcore.
  • How you will play: your world, a server or a Realm, and how many people you want.
  • When you play, your region and language, and whether you use a mic.

Why Discord for Minecraft groups

A shared world lasts longer than one session, and so should the group. A Discord voice channel is where you plan the next build and find the same players tomorrow. Every group listed here comes with that voice channel, created when the group is and deleted when everyone leaves.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find people to play Minecraft with?
Filter this page by language, region and platform, then join a group's voice channel in one click. Or post your own from any Minecraft server on the network, saying whether you play Java or Bedrock and what you want to do.
Can Java and Bedrock players play together?
Not out of the box: the two editions are separate. Some community servers accept both, but most groups pick one edition, so say which you play.
What is an SMP?
Survival multiplayer: a server where a group plays survival together over weeks or months, usually with its own Discord.
Is Minecraft crossplay?
Bedrock Edition is, across Windows, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and mobile. Java Edition is PC only.
Is this Minecraft LFG free?
Yes. Browsing groups, posting your own and joining a server all cost nothing, and there is no account to create here — the groups run inside Discord servers you join directly.
Can I add my own Minecraft server?
Add the LFG Hub bot to your server and set up an LFG channel for Minecraft. Your groups then reach the whole network, and the server appears in the directory.
